NOBLE CHURCH OF CHRIST

“THE CHURCHES OF CHRIST SALUTE YOU”- Romans 16:16

About Our Worship

Welcome to the Noble Church of Christ! We’re so happy to have you with us today and we pray our worship will bless and encourage you. Perhaps you are not familiar with worshiping with a Church of Christ, so here is what to expect. Our service will begin with a prayer then worship through acapella singing, where you’re welcome to sing along or simply listen. After that, we’ll partake in the Lord’s Supper, followed by a message from our preacher. Feel free to participate as you’re comfortable—there’s no pressure. At the end of the service, we’ll have a closing song and a blessing. If you’re unsure about anything, just follow along or ask someone nearby. We’re here to help, and we want you to feel completely at ease as we praise God and honor Jesus!

Acapella Singing

One of the unique features of the churches of Christ is our a cappella singing. This is simply singing without the accompaniment of musical instruments in our worship assemblies. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the singing as we praise God and Christ. As we sing, we want our spirits to commune with God through His Spirit. We pray that you will find the music both beautiful and meaningful.

” Singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord”- Ephesians 5:19

The Lord’s Supper

During this memorial, plates containing unleavened bread pass throughout the congregation. Participants will take a piece, eat it, and meditate. Next, trays filled with individual cups are distributed. These cups contain grape juice. Each participant drinks the contents of one cup, replaces the cup in the tray, and remembers the promise they made with God during their immersion for their sins’ forgiveness.

” And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”- Matthew 26:26-28

Scripture Readings Throughout

There are many readings of the Scripture during worship. Reading Scripture is vital as it fosters a deeper connection with God and provides guidance for our lives. During worship, selected men will lead us in these activities. Most worshipers participate by simply bowing their heads during the prayer, however, you are welcome to assume whatever submissive posture you are comfortable with in prayer. You are encouraged to follow along with your own Bible or one of the Bibles provided in the pews. Through regular reading of Scripture, we align ourselves with God’s will and grow in spiritual maturity.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”- 2 Timothy 3:16-17
